canopy heaven
In my bedroom we never close the shades all the way, I love waking up to the light pouring in. But there are some mornings when I'd rather just pull the blanket up over my head and catch a few more hours of sleep! That's when I start thinking that a canopy could be a nice addition to the bed - I could just reach over and let the curtains loose around me and go back to sleep. Zzzzzz
Here are a few versions of a modern canopy I think are simply gorgeous.

A canopy over the tub seems like a romantic idea as well!

dress up your drapery
Curtains shouldn't just be used to create privacy or block out the sun... use them to create a focal point and add to the ambiance of your space. There are all different ways to hang them and dress them up, so have a little fun with them!
Hang them in a doorway...
Puddle them on the floor...
Gather them at the top...
Gather them on the bottom...
Use a cornice at the top to create a smooth look with an uneven ceiling...
Highlight the architecture of a space and add a little drama...
Tie them back loosely...
Add some fun, flirty trim - or flowers!
Layer with them a shade and cornice for extra glamour...
Use one panel per window when you have two side by side, it almost makes it seem like there's only one large window...
Let them hang straight, but add volume with extra material...

sicis
Sicis takes mosaic tiles and goes way beyond laying out a pretty bathroom floor. They create murals, lighting, sculptures, furniture, basically anything you desire out of gorgeous tiles. You can get as colorful and as glamorous as you want. Here are some of my favorite Sicis creations!
